Hello Cub Pack 375,

Friday evening we have an optional Den meeting at the Riverview Church. We will be building the rockets that we all recieved at the holiday party. If you want to build the rocket your self at home, or have done so already, not a problem. This den meeting is only for those who want to build it with the pack. Please remember to bring your rockets if you intend to build them. We will be launching our rockets at the Blue & Gold Picnic on Saturday.

For Friday’s rocket building, we need people to bring the following items:

newspaper to put down on the tables:
white  glue (elmers) and  crazy glue
a ruler
scissors
a utility knife
pencils

We don’t necessarily need every single person to bring every single thing but we do need a few of each to share. You should also bring your den workbook to the den meeting.

The Blue & Gold picnic will be held Saturday, March 27th from 10AM – 2PM at Newlin Grist Mill Park. You should have been contact by your den leader now on what to bring to the picnic.  Please arrive in FULL UNIFORMS, and bring a second outfit to change into. The event will be held rain or shine, so dress accordingly. The ground may be wet/muddy.

Newlin Grist Mill Park is located at:

219 South Cheyney Road
Glen Mills, PA 19342

Phone Number: (610)459-2359
Email Address:
info@newlingristmill.org

We are looking for donations/prizes to raffle off at the event. Please contact local businesses to see if they would like to donate items to be raffled off at the Blue & Gold Picnic. Sample items that were donated last year included: portable chair massager, die cast replica model cars, autographed sports memorabilia, gift certificates, wireless routers, vaccum cleaners, and more!  Please go and ask your local businesses to see if  they are willing to donate anything – all proceeds will go towards the pack to support our events and other pack costs.

Also – go check out our website www.dhcubpack375.org when you have a chance – we have just updated the theme to a spring time theme.

Hi all – we’ve just added a bunch of great links under the Parents’ Resources section that relates to recycling, and energy conservation. Alot of the links are geared towards kids, and includes games, activities, and worksheets they can use. Please take some time and go through some of the links with your scouts – your scout will have a lot of fun, while learning about recycling and energy conservation at the same time.

Help Support Cub Pack 375

As you may know, the Boy Scouts of America have a Cub Scout pack here in Drexel Hill. Our Pack 375 consists of 31 boys ranging in age from 6 to 11 years. Throughout the year, the boys participate in countless activities to assist them in advancing along the Cub Scout “trail”. These activities help promote the Cub Scouting 12 core values: citizenship, compassion, cooperation, courage, faith, health and fitness, honesty, perseverance, positive attitude, resourcefulness, respect, and responsibility. Some of the activities that the boys have participated in include a trip to the aquarium, an annual camping trip, pinewood derby, and an evening with the KIXX. The scouts look forward to their weekly meetings, but the highlight is usually the monthly activity.

They recently visited friends, family, and neighbors collecting canned foods for a local homeless shelter. These are only a few of the activities used to shape these young boys into the men that they will become. Our pack is currently seeking financial sponsors to assist in off setting the expense of the monthly activities and excursions. We would be grateful for any monetary contribution that your business is willing to make. Any amount is helpful and is tax deductible via our tax exempt identification number: 23-1352053.

Donations can be given to any Cub Pack 375 scout, mailed to us, or made in person at any Den Meeting, Pack Meeting, or other Cub Pack 375 event. Checks should be made payable to “Cub Pack 375″.

If you would like to mail in your donation, please e mail donations@dhcubpack375.org for the mailing address for donations.

Kind Regards,

 The Scouts of Pack 375
