Hello Cub Pack 375! We are back, and getting ready to plan for the up coming year. We would like to invite all parents to the initial planning meeting for the year. We need your input!!
The meeting details are as follows:
Date: Tuesday, August 31st, 2010
Time: 7:00PM
Location: Mr. & Ms. Hibb’s House
516 Eaton Road
Drexel Hill, PA, 19026
The purpose of the meeting is to have everyone come out and help us brain storm ideas for the upcoming year, including events, activities, and fund raisers. We look forward to all of you coming to the meeting if possible – there are no obligations. Just come out, and give us your ideas and thoughts for what we should plan for this coming year.
Please let myself or Rich Fuiman (rfuiman@yahoo.com) know if you have any questions, etc.
If you are able to attend, please let us know by e mail so we can get an approximate headcount. We look forward to seeing everyone on the 31st.
Hello Cub Pack 375!
Friday evening we will be having a den meeting at Hillcrest Elementary School at 7:30PM. Please try to arrive early as we will be starting promptly at 7:30PM. The new rules of no running around the gym prior/after the meetings are still in effect.
We will have a special visitor at the pack meeting from Friends of Scouting. They are part of a volunteer organization that helps with fundraising for the Cradle of Liberty Council, whom we are under. Please see the attached document for their information letter. They *will* be asking for monetary donations at the pack meeting. Please do not feel obligated to donate unless you want to.
Saturday will be our Scout Day at the National Constitution Center. It is from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, try to arrive early so you can find parking, etc. You must be preregistered for this event. Scouts should come in full uniforms. Lunch is available for purchase at the center, or you may bring your own brown bag lunch. The cost is $12/adult.
And remember – the Blue & Gold picnic will be held next Saturday, March 27th from 10AM – 2PM at Newlin Grist Mill Park.
We are looking for donations/prizes to raffle off at the event. Please contact local businesses to see if they would like to donate items to be raffled off at the Blue & Gold Picnic. Sample items that were donated last year included: portable chair massager, die cast replica model cars, autographed sports memorabilia, gift certificates, wireless routers, vaccum cleaners, and more! Please go and ask your local businesses to see if they are willing to donate anything – all proceeds will go towards the pack to support our events and other pack costs.

Hello Pack 375,
We just got word from Mr. Fuiman that the following events are being cancelled and rescheduled due to the pending snow storm.
* Friday, February 5th Den Meeting (TONIGHT)
* Saturday, February 6th Candy Sale @ Super Fresh
* Saturday, Februrary 6th Wings Lacross Game
The above events have been CANCELLED due to the pending snow storm. All of the above events will be RESCHEDULED – further notice will be sent out as we recieve the new schedule. The tickets that you have purchased for tomorrow night’s Wings Lacrosse game WILL BE VALID for the rescheduled game.
The pinewood derby is still ON SCHEDULE for Saturday, February 13th. Please continue to work on your cars at home during the week, as next Friday’s Den meeting will be the final chance to make any last minute changes. Your car should be in a “raceable” condition when you bring to Friday’s den meeting (meaning all of the wheels are on and working, etc). The purpose of Friday’s den meeting is to finalize the weight of the car, and other minor adjustments similiar.
We will TRY to setup a meeting during the week to help get the wheels/axles/weights on the car, but this will NOT be definite – so please work on the car at home yourself as much as possible.
****DEN LEADERS****
Attention Den Leaders: PLEASE CALL EACH MEMBER OF YOUR DEN ASAP to confirm the cancellations with them.

Enjoy the snow – and stay warm!

Hi all – we’ve just added a bunch of great links under the Parents’ Resources section that relates to recycling, and energy conservation. Alot of the links are geared towards kids, and includes games, activities, and worksheets they can use. Please take some time and go through some of the links with your scouts – your scout will have a lot of fun, while learning about recycling and energy conservation at the same time.
Hello all,
A couple of important updates came out tonight’s Open Parents/Leader meeting.
1.) If you were unable to make the holiday party, please see your den leader on Friday evening for your holiday gift (this is a necessity for upcoming events)
2.) Friday nights’ den meeting is the LAST CHANCE to sign up for the archery event. The archery event will be held at Middletown Archery.
The address is: 127 Barren Road Media, PA 19063-4402. This event is for cub scouts ONLY. A parent/guardian MUST attend the event with each scout. The cost of this event is FREE (Cub Pack 375 is paying for this event). You MUST be there AT LEAST 15 minutes PRIOR to your assigned one hour time slot. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU SHOW UP 15 MINUTES PRIOR. Anyone who shows up later than 15 minutes prior to their assigned time slot will NOT BE ALLOWED into the event – this is PER THE RULES OF THE ARCHERY SCHOOL.

3.) Canned food is still being accepted at ALL den & pack meetings. This is an ongoing year round food drive. Please bring any canned goods that you may have available to any den or pack meeting.
Please see your den leader if you have any questions.
Happy New Year Cub Pack 375!
To start off the new year, we have the following events coming up this week:
* Open Parents & Leaders Meeting at the Riverview Church, Wed, Jan 6th at 7PM
* First den meeting of 2010 at the Riverview Church, Friday, Jan 8th at 7:30PM
The archery event is next Friday (January 15th) INSTEAD of the den meeting at the Riverview church. If you have NOT signed up yet for the archery event, please do so at the den meeting this Friday. If you are unable to/choose not to go to the archery event, there will be NO den meeting on Friday, January 15th.
If you have any more canned food for the food drive, or were not able to bring it to the holiday party, plase bring it to the den meeting this Friday evening.
Meeting details & other useful information can be found on the calendar of our pack website: http://www.dhcubpack375.org
Hi All,
A reminder from Mr. Fuiman – please make sure your scouts do NOT open the pine wood derby cars & rockets (it’s ok for them to unwrap the presents, but do not open the packageing) as there are many small peices that can be lost. They will need these items in future den meetings to build for the Pine Wood Derby, and the rockets are needed at our end of year picnic. If you were unable to attend the Pack meeting/Holiday Party this past Friday, please contact your den leader to get a hold of your presents.
A few people asked when the cut off is for the food drive. According to Anna Melito (who is coordinating the efforts), it is a year round charity. Anytime you would like to donate canned/non perishable goods, please bring them to Anna. If you do not know who Anna is, please see your den leader. If you are unsure of who your den leader is, you should attend more meetings.
Ok – you can visit our website to find your den leader: http://www.dhcubpack375.org/?page_id=32
Finally – if you didn’t get a call from your school, as of right now, the Upper Darby School District is having a TWO HOUR delay tomorrow morning (AM kindergarten is CANCELLED). Please see the school district website for details, and up to date information (as the delay may change). http://www.udsd.k12.pa.us/emergency.php
